Essar Logistics Limited (ELL) provides end-to-end logistics services -- from ships to ports, lighterage services, delivery to plants, intra-plant logistics, and dispatch of finished products to the end consumer.

The business owns transshipment assets (including 10 articulated barges, 2 floating cranes and 6 tugs) to provide lighterage support services, and onshore and offshore logistics services.

ELL operates a fleet of 4,200 trucks (of which 38 owned) to provide inland transportation of steel and petroleum products.

The business services the entire logistics requirements of Essar Steel Ltd that operates a 4.6 MTPA steel plant at Hazira, Gujarat. It has modern berthing facilities up to a length of about 2,000 mtrs for berthing mini bulk carriers on the river Tapi. The berths are provided with stackyards from where the cargo is transported by conveyors, road and rail to the steel plant. Gantry cranes with mechanical handling equipment are available at all berths, with a combined 36 tonne lifting capacity. The current cargo handling capacity of the bulk handling terminal is about 35,000 tonne per day.
