Mr Sinha is an Engineering graduate and has done his Masters in Business Administration. He has also served as visiting faculty in various institutes like the Indian Institute of Petroleum Management. He is widely travelled.

His professional achievements include :

Commissioning of Vadinar - Kandla pipeline - a distance of 100 kms.
Commissioning of Cochin - Coimbatore - Karur pipeline -a distance of 300 kms.
Completion of Mangalore - Bangalore pipeline - a distance of over 300 kms.

He has been credited with the completion of various pipeline projects of IOC, many of which were completed well ahead of schedule.
