There was a fire incident in the PIG launching station of Vadinar Oil Terminal, situated away from the refinery. The fire was put out by the refinery team within minutes of the occurrence. Essar Oil's refinery has not been affected and is functioning normally. A special team from the company is investigating the cause of the incident. There were four casualties and some persons were injured in the incident. The injured were rushed to the hospital and are being given the best possible medical treatment. Efforts are being made to airlift the seriously injured to Mumbai immediately.
