| Essar Constructions Ltd.
is strategically placed to bring thirty years of project
management expertise to support the infrastructure explosion
in India and abroad. ECL is able to undertake various infrastructure
projects, either on an EPC or a Build-Own-Transfer basis.
It intends to support India's infrastructure and industrial
revolution by seizing opportunities in each of its four
thrust areas: |
 |
Road and highways - Roads are the dominant mode within the Indian transport system, carrying more than 80% of total traffic generated. The Indian government is keenly interested in improving India's transport network. ECL sees road construction as a key opportunity for growth. |
 |
Pipelines - As the Indian economy develops, the demand for energy is bound to spiral. Opportunities abound in the area of oil and gas transfer through pipeline networks. Similarly, bulk water transportation through pipelines is becoming prominent. Its well-established credentials in executing projects in both oil and gas and in water transportation make it the right choice for such projects. |
 |
Marine and civil construction - India's long and impressive coastline will increase the future role of coastal shipping. Both the government and individual companies are planning significant investments in ports and harbours. Its long-standing expertise in marine projects makes this a natural thrust area for ECL. Given the importance of the agrarian economy to India's future, irrigation projects corner a good share of the government's planned outlays. It already has a head start in this area, having completed a significant number of irrigation projects. |
|
| We also have the expertise and equipment to lay nearshore/ Shallow water offshore pipelines and carry out hook-up and modification work of offshore platforms. |
 |
Industrial projects - ECL is among a chosen few EPC contractors with significant experience in construction of mega projects in steel, minerals and metals, power and refinery. It will continue to explore opportunities in plant construction. Essar Constructions will always live up to its mission: "to achieve excellence through world-class practices and standards in quality, safety and project management." |
